    Trip Reviews

I have finished the Cape York Tour and all I can say is WOW. This tour was amazing, well organised, very efficient, tour guides were excellent, food was good quality and fresh, always felt safe and well looked after.  The places we visited and the sights, wildlife, vegetation and bird life were exquisite. The knowledge of our guides was excellent.  This tour far surpassed my expectations. I would like to thank staff at Cape York Tours – Australian Tours and Cruises for your assistance with my booking and would definitely recommend this tour. Julie S

We have just returned from Cape York. We booked this trip through you. So we thought we had better let you know of the wonderful time we had. The 3 tour guides were very experienced fantastic, knowledgeable, fun and willing to assist in any way. The accommodation was not always in tents and the nights we were not in tents we were in very special places and the accommodation was awesome! We had no idea it was going to be this good! The standards were very high! The accommodation owners were also so friendly, experienced, informative, accommodating and helpful. Given Covid, everything was managed exceptionally. The tour was very well planned out and nothing was omitted. Each and everyday had its own surprises and unique adventures. Let us not forget to mention the food! All Meals made and served off the beaten track were scrumptious and more than sufficient. We enjoyed steak on 3 occasions and have never tasted it so tender. Cooked to perfection. Meals out were also of the highest quality. All restaurants, cafes, hotels and eating places provided some of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Great choices by the organizers once again. There was never a shortage of food anywhere or anytime either. Lunch and morning tea spots were well chosen with great views, nature and atmosphere. We have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone and are in fact doing so. Thanks so much for coupling us up with this small but exceptional tour group. They certainly earned their money. Thanks, with very fond memories of Kathy, Terry, lan, Peter and Mooks. Ian and Sylvia

Thank you all for an absolutely fabulous trip these last few weeks. The guys were brilliant – you should be very proud of them. So knowledgeable, helpful, patient and friendly. The country they showed us was amazing and so full of history. It will be my mission now to spread the word about your wonderful tours. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time and I really hope things start to pick up. I am so grateful for the experience you and the boys have given me. Many thanks. Julie

Fantastic! Loved every minute! Every day was an amazing adventure. Loved the small group and vehicle. Very social, fun, great food. Lots of surprises along the way. This is the only way to experience Cape York. I will be back, thanks for everything! Marianne

A truly fabulous experience – good company, great cook/guides/driver – top notch grub. Many thanks. Colin

We found the tour extremely interesting with very friendly guides. We enjoyed all the activities and lunches. Please don’t change a thig – you do it so well! It has been a pleasure to share the days with you. Moros

Thank you for a wonderful trip. Great food, great company. The information on the Cape, the special spots where we stayed and where we had our lunches were excellent. Top job, glad we came. Greg & Flo

Cannot express how much of an incredible adventure I experienced on the 15 day Camping tour just recently. I was able to reminisce my younger hippy days at Cedar Bay from the 70’s. Ian , Nev and Terry were a great bunch of blokes whose passion for the Cape was outstanding by able to deliver us so much local knowledge and stories from the area. The food was fantastic and we had lots of it as I am a big eater. The small side trips off the main itinerary were amazing. To be able to do a chopper ride from Roku Island around the Torres Strait Islands and the tip was both incredible and unforgettable. I am seriously looking to do another trip with your company as you really know how to look after your fellow travellers. John
